Inside the 2026 Galvanize Solutions Summit |

Senator Sheldon Whitehouse joins Galvanize Chief Strategy Officer David Livingston and Co-Chair Secretary John Kerry to discuss permitting reform, energy affordability, and accelerating infrastructure investment. Last week, we convened investors, founders, corporate leaders, and policymakers at San Francisco’s Ferry Building for the 2026 Galvanize Solutions Summit. Under the theme “Drivers of the New Economy,” we explored how advances in energy and intelligence are reshaping industries—and where capital can accelerate deployment, build leading businesses, and generate long-term value. Across the day’s conversations, a few ideas emerged about what it will take to translate technological progress into lasting economic value: - AI and electrification are reshaping the foundations of the economy. Economist Noah Smith explored the implications for infrastructure investment and industrial competitiveness, while Eric Schmidt joined Secretary John Kerry for an off-the-record conversation on the frontiers of AI across markets, society, and energy.
- Scaling innovation requires industrial capacity and the ability to execute. Dan Wang examined China’s manufacturing strengths and their implications for global competition, complementing discussions on financing, supply chains, and workforce needs across nuclear, mobility, and commercial space.
- Durable progress depends on public trust and tangible results. Senator Sheldon Whitehouse discussed permitting and the path to building critical infrastructure, while Ambassador Rahm Emanuel explored the political landscape and the importance of delivering on affordability and economic opportunity.
Bringing these perspectives together helps us understand where demand is durable, which constraints create investment opportunities, and what gives businesses a lasting competitive advantage. The insights and relationships built at the Summit inform our work across sectors and asset classes throughout the year. We look forward to sharing more Summit takeaways over the coming weeks. |
